Costumes and lighting were excellent, as was the soundscape. Yokko’s controlled movement was the highlight. I also liked the mixture of English and Japanese language.
What I didn't like
Since it’s Shakespeare and the audience will more likely than not know Macbeth, Yokko’s accent doesn’t ultimately matter much, but I longed to work with her on it because of the beautiful poetry sometimes being obscured a bit.
My overall impression
Yokko is a consummate performer/dancer — skilled, passionate, movingly vulnerable. I highly recommend this riveting evening.
