What I liked

The creative use of lights, audio and projection. Though a little risky with this type of festival. Glad it is working out. The message is beautiful. Not sure if the playwright meant to this but it seems as though the voices are really in her head. Sometimes we all need reminders. I loved how she wrapped her head at the end with she was getting knowledge from the grand spirit voice. From the description on the site I think that was Yemaya. Like Erykah Badu’s song says, “Wrap your head with this material.” I really, really liked it.

What I didn't like

I would have loved to see more light and light movement from the grandmother voices, especially when they said, “I wanna dance.” Maybe even projection of them as well. Or a physical presence, but really a creative use of characters with the audio and lights.

My overall impression

Great show. Very Empowering.
