The casting was spot on. The actors clearly embodied the roles they were playing.
What I didn't like
The only area I could see improving upon would be the way the apartment was laid out on stage. It took a beat for me to understand that the large armchair off to the side was supposed to be a bedroom. That being said, given the performance space, I understand the choices that were made.
My overall impression
Baba, Jee was captivating from start to finish. The writing had a rawness to it that the actors truly dug into and brought to life. For such a short piece, the characters felt whole and were extremely relatable – there were times I almost forgot I was watching a scripted scene! A spectacular effort by all! I highly recommend checking this project out.
