My overall impression
Been clean for eight months now and finally feeling like myself again. The hardest part wasn’t even the withdrawal – it was worrying about how getting treatment would affect my future. I kept putting off getting help because I was terrified it would show up on background checks and ruin my career prospects. Turns out I was stressing about nothing. Wish I had known this earlier because it would have saved me months of unnecessary anxiety. If anyone else is hesitating about getting help because of record concerns, don’t let that fear stop you
