HETTIE LYNNE HURTES uncertified reviewer June 13, 2011
Another well conceived, entertaining hour of performance art from Stephen Simon and Jon Monestero. This time these two "speechless" actors have chosen death as the theme, and simply through their physical antics and brilliant facial expressions the delectible duo is able to transform a typically morbid subject into a hilarious experience. A word of warning though: be prepared to be part of the antics!... full review

I used to think that the only place I could see silent comedy was in old movies, but groups like Ten West are reviving it and bringing it into the current century. This particular show is dark and twisted- and yet sweet and funny at the same time. ... full review

John & Stephen are brilliant physical comedians with the finest of timing and a joyously dark sense of humor. You never know WHERE their show is going but you damn sure enjoy the ride. The direction is subtle and effective. SEE THIS SHOW!... full review

INEFFABLE is an effing delight. I tend to express my amusement by smiling inscrutably to myself. This mostly-silent show had me laughing out loud. Kudos to the creative team for an engaging, irreverent, whimsical, meaningful evening of theater. ... full review

I have been a fan of these two jokers for years now. I've never seen them do anything that wasn't brilliant. But, last night, they were head and shoulders better than they have ever been. They've taken the ultimate taboo subject, our inevitable demise, and created a performance that is unrelentingly subversive, robustly subtle, and, most impressively, side-splitting-ly funny. By juxtaposing our cultural tics, mannerisms and traditions against were it all leads us in the end, Ten West unapologetically proves the absurdity of the human condition. Yet, somehow, despite all the cynicism I brought with me to the theater; when I left, I felt happier to be alive than I have in years. I can't wait to see it again. ... full review

Charming, delightful, intelligent and hilarious. These 2 clowns are seriously talented comedians, who have built one hell of a death party. Their commitment to their craft is inspirational as they glide in and out of the audience, making us not just a passive listener but a part of the journey. Their show is clean, sharp and effective but not simple, it deals with the weighty ideas of death with both poignancy and fervor. Guaranteed to make you laugh, this is a solid show all around.... full review
