My favorite had to be the writing and the story. I loved the fact that it was humorous on events that aren’t usually funny. I thought the dynamics of each characters were great. I laughed pretty much the whole time. I also loved the simplicity of the set. Most of the actors really brought it and desplayed the story wonderfully. It was super enjoyable.
What I didn't like
I think that some of the actors didn’t quite do the piece justice. Most of the acting was great and captivating but unfortunately, I felt a disconnect. I think the pacing for some of the comedy scenes should have gone a little faster to make the jokes land. I was there for the opening so I’m assuming some things got changed. There was also a lot of cursing. Not sure if all of it is necessary. But I would definitely love to see it again.
My overall impression
Overall, I had a fabulous time. I thing this piece shows a side that a lot of people shy away from. I think the piece is super creative and had great balance of comedy and tragedy.
