What I liked

I especially liked the performance of Laurel, played by Brandon Burns. I thought he conveyed the most emotion and insight into his character. I also liked the blocking and use of the space/props. You did get a sense that it was in a jail cell.

What I didn't like

I would have liked to have seen a little more emotion and insight into Will’s character and I thought Guard 2 was a little weak in her performance. Fight scenes were ok – fake blood may have been nice. – since they killings were stabbings, you would expect a bit of blood.

My overall impression

I very much enjoyed this production of Sentences. I found the characters real and believable.
