What I liked
I liked the attitude, and the deepening understanding of Vageena Honey’s life. She was so real she seemed entirely unscripted, even though this can’t possibly be true since she had an earpiece for the show.
What I didn't like
I think there are venue problems because I could see the other actors moving around backstage a lot, and this was distracting, as were the tech problems. I also wanted a full drag performance every time a song came on…this may just be me, because I love drag so much, but I was itching for it by the time it landed.
My overall impression
Vageena Honey IS this show. And she is badass and out of the box in her diva-ness and her perspective on everything! The other characters really just serve to create her portrait. I love drag and camp SO MUCH, and she just got better with every minute that went by. And when she did her drag song it was really touching.
