What I liked

The acting is top notch by all involved, but especially the actors playing Jane and Trent were standouts in a cast full of standouts.

The directing is never static and tells the story very well.

This brings me to the writing, which is (imagine me making an Italian-chef kiss hand thingy) mwah. It’s witty, it’s human, it’s deeply unnerving when it needs to be, it has points to make, it’s subtle.

Kudos to all involved. See this. Be entertained. Be provoked.

What I didn't like

I liked the ending, but it did feel like the ending of “Act I” rather than a full stop ending. Don’t get me wrong – I’m fine that it ended where it ended, but there was enough material in the script to mine and explore in a second act. Wanting more is hardly the most damning of critiques.

My overall impression

What a sharp-witted, superbly acted show. It deals with fascinating questions about family and power and money, but is never overbearing with the messages.
