What I liked

The story about the mother and daughter working in the diner made history feel tangible. While taking place in a heightened political climate and written in this political climate, it stays relatively apolitical, focusing instead on the characters’ circumstances. I find that to be an interesting and refreshing choice.

What I didn't like

From what I saw everything came together very nicely. I think this all depends on what the goal is.

My overall impression

Great writing. Great directing. Great acting. While on the surface you know something is lurking, that only serves as the present circumstances of the world these characters live in. A relationship driven story about family. It doesn’t matter which side of the party line you fall, you’re there for the characters.
