About the Project
The Accident of Sex is a one woman show that imagines Amelia Earhart’s time on a deserted island she crash-landed on while making her famous round-the-world flight in 1937 that led to her disappearance. Using spoken word, monologues, sound and silence, the audience is taken on a journey that explores Amelia’s innermost longings, heartaches and secrets that made up who she was.
