What I liked

THE BLACKOUT is the most fun! I’m hard to get, and I got got! We laughed at the appropriate song choice for Sirena’s dance, well-played Zomba. The mutant assistant worked well and the ventriloquism bit was great. I like a light and tight show and this delivered at the end of a long Fringe day. A great nightcap if you are in the mood for goofy fun.

What I didn't like

I would like to see the magic elevated to its full potential. If Zomba had even more to his act, perhaps with some bizarre/black magic or geek magic, I would have rated the show higher. The geek trick with Sirena was blocked for most of us on house right, so consider blocking next time when presenting that trick. The hypno bit did not land for us, but perhaps that was because of our seating angle. If we could get more from Professor Pain in a future production, I’d love that.

My overall impression

Wild, woolly, and wonder-filled, Dr. Zomba’s Ghost Show of Terror is a fun and strange bit of time-traveling entertainment evoking the traveling spook shows of days gone by with a tight cast and funny script.
