What I liked
The promise of honoring the historical performance format.
The small intimate theater promises magic.
What I didn't like
Practice speech and acting to make an audience feel interest and wonder. The main actor sounded like he just walked in off the street to improvise. He also acted and sounded like he didn’t care about our enjoyment of the show.
Shouting, poor dialogue control, poor writing. Poor delivery.
If you will include magic tricks, even if small ones, actually do them well. That would have made the hokey acting interesting for an emotional payoff.
I can’t speak about the rest of the show because I was so angry that I left.
My overall impression
Awful. I walked out in 10 minutes.
