Matthew Dominico and Katherine Connor Duff created a truly unique and effecting look into our Veteran’s struggles and also some insight into the struggle of those who love and want to understand them. The tension in this play is broken up with tenderness and humor. Brock Joseph gives an absolute star performance- nuanced, emotional, and hilarious. If anything- see this show to say you knew him when! Chris Game’s direction elevates this play into an engrossing story that has you on the edge of your seat and completely immersed in their world. Bring your tissues and be sure to thank a vet.
What I didn't like
I’d love to see this flushed out into a full length (and include a more developed role for the girlfriend). Could easily be our generations ‘Tracers’.
My overall impression
GO SEETHISPLAY! A brilliantly crafted look into the mind of veteran with PTSD and the daily struggle they have to beat their demons and survive when they return home. I cannot rave about this show enough. Moving, effecting, funny, and tragic. I was completely captivated from start to finish and enjoyed the talk back.
