What I liked
The writing, the timing and delivery were outstanding. They navigated touchy topics in a fun and heartfelt way. I loved how they incorporated physical comedy, beat boxing, rap.
What I didn't like
There was one joke that didn’t really land well, especially with women. I think we were a bit confused. But I liked that they acknowledged it didn’t work in a light way. It’s as though they let us the audience know they understood
My overall impression
I went in not knowing the performes and having no idea what to expect. I absolutely loved what joe & joshua had to say with their smart, insightful and original comedy. I never thought I would be almost falling out of my chair laughing watching the male version of many conversations in my head that aren’t always funny. I particularly loved seeing two men of color in such a joyous partnership with a distinct comedic voice finding the funny in these unfunny times. I was really inspired and I don’t understand how come I hadn’t come across these gents before.
