What I liked

This is what impacting, thought provoking, brilliant storytelling is all about. From the opening scene to the finally, I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster about a series of events that are still so very close to us. Tania Verafield is a terrific chameleon on stage who knows how to bless us with strength and fragility. Her performances were polar opposites. If you don’t pay attention, you forget you’re seeing the same actress; she is simply amazing in her seamless transitioning between characters, while Dylan Arnold grabs us by the heart and never let’s go. Rachel Sorsa was raw, honest, and magnificent as Bette, my soul hurt for her character. Her work created a perfect platform for Larry Poindexter to create a sharp contrast to what love and vulnerability mean. Karen Malina White was endearing and soulful while Ethan Rains provides a prime example of irreverence on the stage. Katherine Cortez is a courageous writer who explores the depth of tragedy with love, compassion, and determination. Elina de Santos’ directing is effective and conscise. I loved this show. Definitely one of my favorite fringe shows this year.

What I didn't like

I want to see a full run of this!

My overall impression

Incredibly powerful performances by a skillfully talented cast that elevate the words of Katherine Cortez, who are masterfully navigated by Elina de Santos’ directing.
