What I liked

Great script, wonderdul direction, fabulous acting and design. I was cautious about how a tragic real life event would play on stage and this production defies any doubt. It is full of surprises, steers away from tropes and emotional traps. It is funny and poignant and well worth a visit.

What I didn't like

Tough to say. I went in with low expectations and left saying to everyone that they just set the bar high for the fringe festival in LA. The ONLY thing I would warn audiences about is to arrive early for parking. Also, as art goes…if you go to fringe for kitchy, whacky, in-your-face, laughs only comedy, this isn’t that. This is a story of a character who, in the aftermath of the Orlando shootings, finds himself in the company if his club friends both in person and in memory, while newcomers cross his path, and in surprising ways are not all who they first appear to be.

My overall impression

This is incredibly well produced, written, directed, and acted. Love is love is love is love…and it’s not morose or a downer…it leaves you thinking and more elevated. It is full of surprises, steers away from tropes and emotional traps. It is funny and poignant and well worth a visit.
