Dagney Kerr and Krista Conti have awesome chemistry and timing playing busy yoga/margarita besties. Both actresses are hilarious on their own, and combined they are a comedy powerhouse. Max Lichtig is laugh-out-loud funny as a modern manifestation guru, and wickedly creepy as a come-to-life cupcake. Caroline Marshall’s imagination knows no bounds! See Frankenstud and Aura Lord of Dawgtown!
What I didn't like
I wish the air conditioning in the theater was a little colder.
My overall impression
Funny, fun, and way out of the box. Two quick and fresh comedies written and directed by Caroline Marshall. Both spiritual and farcical, and not too far from reality… except for the perverted pastry scene, which lives in an alternate reality that will make you think twice next time you find yourself in the baked goods aisle. Dagney Kerr and Krista Conti give flawless performances as middle-aged single moms looking to fulfill their fantasies… so good I saw it twice! And I’m going to see it again!
