Aside from his gifts as a writer, Mr. Silcott is an accomplished and captivating performer.
What I didn't like
It’s very much the father’s story, and though the mother is venerated by both husband and son, I was left wishing that we had gotten to know her better.
My overall impression
A beautiful portrait of a couple, told through their son’s memories of his parents. Just the right portions of poetry, music, culture, and history all woven together with a sure hand. No fireworks or theatrical trickery; just an honest, engaging and ultimately moving performance. Billed as a “work in progress” I’m looking forward to the next iteration.
