Fun, slick and tight. Spot on in every moment. Loved the score, the tone, the staging, choreography, singing and of course the characters. It could be easy to dismiss this show unseen as simply jumping on the bandwagon of bashing Trump in order to drive ticket sales, but this show is so much more than that. ... full review

FULL DISCLOSURE OH MY GOD. I know people in the production. (That's right, you heard me. I know production people. Now get this water out of here. I said CHILLED not COLD. Cretin.) Trump in Space is super fun. The cast keeps things moving and cram the funny in at every turn. The music is great and the staging allows for all sorts of nuanced bits. It's a well oiled machine that sticks to the premise. And though the final reveal seemed a bit out of nowhere (SPOILER ALERT! There's a final reveal) I later realized it kind of fits perfectly in the "why not" department, a highlighted example of how we've all had to deal with the purposefully chaotic. The premise itself was clever: a mashup of political commentary and Star Trek, down to the style of the uniforms. The character names and mannerisms were a bit heavy handed, but this was an improv team at work so that wasn’t a surprise. The execution was funny, with a number of repeated bits (such as the elevator) that were hilarious. There was a strong improv element to the show. At our show, for example, it looked like two songs were just tossed in a very hilarious fashion. All of the acting team were trained improv specialists, so this worked well. In short, it was enjoyable and funny; however, it wasn’t “high art” and doesn’t have the potential — at least in its current form — of becoming a broader longer-lasting political commentary mus... full review

This is a show that could run for a while. I imagine they have to write new bits before every performance due to all the weekly drama from the Trump Administration. Definitely a show to see for a hearty laugh. ... full review
