What I liked
The cast is superb. Right from the beginning of the show, I was grinning like an idiot. The harmonies are spot on. I enjoyed all of the characters, especially Ruth.
What I didn't like
There is a point at around 2/3 through where the show takes a bit of a dark turn. It took me out of it and I feel that part could easily be edited. Also, there were quite a few Trump-isms which again took me out of the 1962 period they’re trying to portray.
My overall impression
Smart and funny send-up of a 1962 Christmas telethon. Not only is it a hilarious show but the music is outstanding. I would love to see what the Harmony Boys do as a follow-up.
