Thank you, Harmony Boys! What a refreshing piece of theatre!
We were laughing before the show even started between their program and the LP cover art in the lobby - proceeded to laugh throughout the entire show - and THEN they continued to make us laugh well through load-out. Who does that?!? Harmony Boys does that.
I am SO happy to have been introduced to these guys through the Fringe. Their show is inspired, hilarious, bold, silly, smart, nuanced and outside-the-box. Their writing is clever, their character work is strong, their choreography is on point and their harmonies are even tighter than I expected. This production goes above and beyond between the set, costumes, live band and overall polished execution. I could go on and on ...

My cheeks hurt from a perpetual state of smiling and/or laughing out loud. And I don't think I was the only one. Brilliant cast, totally unique show and very deserving of the packed house on opening night! ...

Okay. POSSIBLY my favorite show of Fringe. So good. So amazingly, amazingly good. First off, I'm a sucker for Christmas. Next, I'm a suck for 60's holiday songs. Then, I was lucky enough to be handed one of the Christmas Crackers which is a tradition in my family and will now take on an entirely new meaning. The songs, the delivery, the acting, the script, the BAND - it was all spot-on. I hope to go again at Christmas. Please....

The Harmony Boys is a skewering satire of modern life, politics, race relations, gender equality, etc. all told through a 1962 Christmas special hosted by the titular quartet. Boasting strong singing, and even stronger jokes, I was laughing from start to finish. The show leaves virtually no group off its (often) naughty joke list, but it’s done so cleverly, innocently, and genuinely, through the prism of an early ’60’s worldview, that it’d be hard to take offense. Tight writing, excellently chosen songs, a strong band, a clever concept, subtle but brilliant choreography, and tons of laugh out loud moments make this an overall fantastic show....

Bawdy, hilarious and ridiculous. Take one part 50s homophobia, two parts American exceptionalism, a healthy dose of alcoholism, shake and serve over a very talented rendition of Christmas Crooners chilled. You will not be disappointed to step back and poke fun at a by gone age. Delicious! ...

Great show, so much fun! I love the subversive sense of humor. For all of the casual skewering, there's also great singing & choreography. Well paced. Some phrases, altered lyrics and visuals will be burned into my brain forever, reprised every Christmas (and at inopportune moments in between). The Harmony Boys need to put out a Christmas album for sure!...
