What I liked

This is an award winning play from Australia which thrilled audiences at the 2017 Adelaide Fringe Festival. It’s an enthralling story of the Hollywood Dream Factory of the 40s. Joanne not only wrote this play but her acting is brilliant as is her renditions of songs from the era which complement the story. What do I like specifically? The way the tale unfolds; her accents; her eyes and facial expressions; her energy; her credibility. I cannot recommend this play highly enough. It got a standing ovation. Go and see it!

What I didn't like

What’s not to like? I only wish I could see it again before she takes the show to The Edinburgh Fringe.

My overall impression

A stunning performance with wonderful acting and songs from the era which provide a clear insight into the struggles of young performers everywhere.
