What I liked

Loved the acting from start to finish, a wonderful showcase for Ms. Hartstone’s talents. Her vocal ability is superb and was perfectly styled to fit the music of the time period.

What I didn't like

The actual script and story itself were a little inaccessible in some regards. Maybe not a show for people who aren’t super into the world of old Hollywood as there were many references to figures I didn’t know and weren’t necessarily fleshed out (the not fleshing out, of course, was the main issue). In the beginning, in particular, there were quick explanations of figures who were never mentioned again and never acted out. It’s always better to show rather than tell and these figures were never “shown.”
Also, the feverish pace of the show and the amount of information/characters, etc, made it difficult to really get invested. Thought it would’ve been better to focus on a few characters/situations rather than cram a million of both into 70 minutes. Neither the actress nor her characters never got a second to breathe and thus neither did the audience.
Also, the show didn’t necessarily show me anything new. Hollywood treated and treats women like crap, not sure what else there is to be learned here.

My overall impression

Flawlessly acted, but a bit inaccessible.
