What I liked

Simplistic staging allowing us to focus on the actors. Great chemistry between all the cast.

What I didn't like

I wanted more of the Journalist character; she was fantastic! I also felt the ending was so sudden, I wanted a lot more. Thank goodness for Dark Arts: Finale to tie up loose ends.

My overall impression

Larry Meyers is a rare talent who understands both his audience and his subject matter with equal skill. I found his comedy biting and the inter-character relationships clever and realistic. The cast is well matched to the quality of the work and all function very well together. I cannot say enough in particular about Stephanie Hyden, who particularly shines as Ms Klein, a spin doctor who’s watching her partner spin out of control. If you have the opportunity I highly recommend Dark Arts, as well as the lovely and personalized immersive elements available as a prelude and finale via darkartsplay.com.
