What I liked

What a dynamite ensemble! Congratulations to all. Each performance was nuanced, specific, and captivating. The acting, direction, movement, and music all combined to tell this intriguing story in unique and creative ways. I loved how the gradual peeling back of Lucy’s mask metaphorically expressed the stages of her acclimatization to the human world. I really enjoyed the “dance number” with the tooth brushing, showering, etc. And when Lucy repeated the number on her own over the course of time, it was really touching to see her gradually lose the thread of its choreography as it receded into the past and slipped from her memory.

And the ending haunts me still.

What I didn't like

That it was over so soon! This crack troupe definitely left me wanting more…

My overall impression

I left the show invigorated and inspired by how much the theatre can say and reminded of why I find it so much more involving than cinema.
