My overall impression

This show was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Chimpskin tells the unique story of Lucy, a chimp that was brought up like a human as an experiment. The show consists of incredibly talented performers with a great amount of commitment. I loved the movements, how everybody was in sync with each other from the beginning to the end. The choreography, the fluidity of it -it’s impossible to look away or think about something else. It pulls you in and you’re in for the ride. The story is based on true events and the Puckwit Gang turned the story of Lucy into a series of view points, discoveries and vignettes that they wrote themselves. It was truly remarkable and really pushed the boundaries of what theatre can be. Also, amazing use of live music with an instrument called didgeridoo -it was haunting, served the piece really well and made it even more of an authentic experience. This is a show that you need to see because I guarantee you will never find anything like it.
