At first, you think, oh it’s just a 20 minute show. what can they possibly lure us over here for for such a short time… and then, you slowly begin to see the genius of how time is used. 20 minutes begins to become TOOMUCH. TOOLONG. To withstand a cycle that I found myself thinking “please make it stop…make it stop…” and then, you realize this 20 minutes is on repeat for a child, every.single.day. A completely hollowed out child, played fearlessly and unapologetically by Christina Evans. I agreed, it is haunting, and certainly makes the impact it intends to: to call on us as viewers for immediate action in the middle of living our otherwise safe, undisturbed lives.
What I didn't like
My overall impression
Every prop has a purpose. Every action is intentional. fantastic use of the physical, of the space (the small intimate space and heat up there also begin to work on you) and excellent use of time.
