A MUST SEE! It's as funny and smart, as it is disturbing and powerful. And it is EXTREMELY disturbing - in a political way - and powerful in its realism and relate-ability. An absolutely brilliantly written, acted and directed perfect piece of very emotional and important theater that beautifully captures the zeitgeist. So so so smart. SO well done. I was enthralled and the time flew. ... full review

This play was one of the best of this year's Fringe. The acting was so spot on, I felt like I was a fly on the wall watching President Obama and Trump having their private conversation in the Oval Office. By the end, I was ready to throttle Trump and beg Obama to come back! The writing is fast paced, witty, and totally believable, I highly recommend this play, go see it!... full review

I LOVED this show! TRANSITION was so jam-packed with ideas, wit, current politics, and humor that I didn't want to miss one word! So many classic moments made me feel it was a slice of their real meeting!... full review

The issue is very current filled with information, Republicans may learn from, while Democrats will enjoy reviewing. I feel it's important to teach and bring laughter to many. God forbidding, tRump maybe running again! People need to know this.... full review

Ray Richmond's "Transition" is a wry and poignant glimpse into an imagined conversation between President Obama and Donald Trump during their transition of power meeting. At times gut-wrenching, the play drills down beneath exterior walls to expose Trump's overt narcissism and unsettling immaturity, and how Obama might not have fully realized until that moment that he must relinquish tremendous power to a dangerous child. It is smart and funny, but the core of its truth is dark and foreboding. It reveals the absurdity of our national predicament and perhaps better than any other commentary underscores the peril of being cavalier at the voting booth.... full review

I'm so happy I saw this and I'm so glad I didn't see anything before or after it. This isn't a "fringe" show and it requires and deserves attention. In the current political climate I know we'd all like to run away, but this is an important time to listen. Playwright Ray Richmond has created a beautiful piece - it feels sort of like a love letter to Obama and to the values that sometimes sneak out of a well intentioned but very flawed country. The show doesn't sugar coat anything but it also doesn't dramatize - it feels real from start to finish and has a few heightened moments of comedy and drama that are beautifully earned- thanks in part to the lovely direction by Lee Costello who has made what is essentially two guys talking to each ... full review

Part comedy, part wish fulfillment and – to many – bigly tragedy, Transition is a sharply written production that imagines what may have been discussed during the meeting between Barack Obama and Donald Trump just after Election Day 2016.... full review
