Urban Theatre Movement is becoming my absolute favorite Theatre Company in LA, everything they do is so raw and edgy, approached with such gusto, and does a wonderful job of holding a mirror up to society. All 4 of the pieces in this show gave you so much to think about and left you feeling very enlightened. ... full review

Socially provocative, emotionally revealing production. I would recommend this to those who seek for a innovative presentation, perfect for the fringe experience. There must be some background stories that weren't told in this show....I really do want to see the extended version of all of them.... full review

Overall this show is very thought provoking touching several social subject matters that are relevant to today. They weave these stories together without pushing their own views upon the audience. the directing is great especially with the way she chose to transition to each one-act. I enjoyed the show very much. ... full review

This was a great piece of theatre. The varying styles make for a diverse and interesting evening of entertainment. This is the kind of theatre that matters, this is the kind of art we should all strive for as fringers. Theatre is a medium for education and entertainment and I believe UTM is quite adept at that. ... full review

The Urban Theatre Movement delivers with a night of stories that gave me everything I want out of the theatre; eccentric, well-crafted characters, dynamic relationships, engaging moments, and to the point. There isn't any fat within these 4 one act plays, beautifully woven together with poetry by Alex Alparaoh. They are to the point and offer a compelling glimpse at 4 different walks of life that, whether familiar or alien, was relatable and visceral. ... full review

What a complete Fringe treat! An excellent collection of thought-provoking pieces on some pertinent contemporary issues. Writing, acting, directing across the board is fantastic. What a cool company with excellent taste in risks. Definitely catch this one in its recent extension because it is not to be missed! Really digging this company: Urban Theatre Movement. The show is very strong. All four pieces are compelling and unique. UTM has never been the type of company to do fluff or shy away from important topics. However, they manage to tackle dark issues with the humor and charm that consistently leaves the audience wanting more. ... full review
