What I liked
Tonya does a fantastic job of creating her various environments. They are all so immediately brought to life. Also, It’s so poignant to juxtapose her strength in football against experiences that took her strength as a girl and a woman. I won’t spoiler alert, but I was profoundly impacted by the last moment. Her words were so eloquently put and definitely some I needed to take in for myself. Thank you, Tonya for sharing your story!

My overall impression
So tragic. So good. Tonya wraps a very difficult story into the context of her journey growing up and her strength in football. I loved what Tonya did on that stage. She created a vivid, heartbreaking – and at times hilarious – story for us to relate to. She also raised awareness for the many young girls and women that experience sexual assault. I highly recommend this show.
