What I liked

The stage and the dynamic of lights and sounds gave the arc of the story a really good pace and structure. The performers are generous and allow for room to breathe and explore creatively. Nothing is rushed, there is a great chemistry and also it feels a genuine affection for the YA novel, while also understanding the humor in the tropes.

My overall impression

Encore!

Saw the 1pm Saturday show and was, per usual, so entranced by these improvisers. There’s something magical that comes from a level of trust coupled with the cast’s ability to play this genre with genuine feeling and affection while allowing for the hijinks that improv will always provide. Funny, sweet in the most marvelous way and touching in ways that make you hungry to see this Troupe more.
