What I liked
I really liked the blocking and choreography incorporating the strings. There’s a moment when a girl loses her string and she breaks down crying – it was perfectly executed (the string disappeared instantly) and I felt so bad for her.
What I didn't like
The only thing I didn’t like was that I sat in the back row and I’m short so it was hard to see. Poor decision on my part, whoops!
My overall impression
Stringmates has a very unique concept that was interesting to see come to life. The strings were very well blocked and choreographed in each of the scenes and dances. The actors and dancers all interacted really well with the strings and it made for a really beautiful picture on stage.
