What I liked

Fun, well choreographed dance numbers.

I loved the creative scene transitions and reuse of cast members throughout the show.

The projected backgrounds added a lot of atmosphere to the show.

A driving, emotional soundtrack.

Good and varied costumes and makeup.

What I didn't like

This was the first play I’ve been to this fest where there were bad seats. If you arrive late you will most likely have to watch the show from behind a pole. Also people in the lower rows will probably have trouble reading the projected dialogue since it will be blocked by the actors. Higher seating is probably better here.

While I greatly enjoyed the show, I don’t think it fully captured the horror and suspense of the film. In fact some of most iconic scenes are not even represented here.

My overall impression

A great reshaping of the 1922 silent film for the live stage.Great dancing and expressive acting from the talented cast make this a can’t miss.
