This show delivers exactly what it promises block blast adventure dark, twisted humor with a sharp comedic edge. Frankel’s writing is clever, balancing absurdity with biting wit. The performances were bold and fully committed, making even the most outrageous moments land effectively. The direction kept the pacing tight, ensuring that the energy never dropped. The staging and lighting choices enhanced the eerie yet hilarious atmosphere, making the production visually engaging.
What I didn't like
While the humor was sharp, some moments leaned so far into the absurd that they risked losing their impact. A few jokes and punchlines felt predictable, which slightly lessened their effectiveness. Additionally, while both comedies were strong, one segment felt noticeably stronger than the other, making the balance between the two a bit uneven.
My overall impression
Bloody Awful is a wickedly fun ride for fans of dark comedy. With strong performances, sharp writing, and an eerie yet playful atmosphere, it delivers plenty of laughs and twisted surprises. Despite a few uneven moments, it’s an entertaining and well-executed production.
