What I liked

The cat puppetry was excellent and very entertaining. Katelyn Schiller had a lot to offer as an actress and demanded much of herself throughout. Her personal connection to the material was palpable and keenly felt.

What I didn't like

Some of the scientific sections were a bit too dense and obtuse to understand. Additionally, I appreciate they were going for metaphor and more implicit than explicit with the mental illness aspect, but I found myself wishing for more specificity so I could have a firmer hold of what was going on since the scientific issues and questions of quantum entanglement already gave me much to mull over and I ended up with a very big jumble of thoughts.

My overall impression

A quirky and unique show — a very interesting concept to use this scientific concept to explore parent-child relationships and mental illness. It didn’t quite hit the mark in places, but the care and attention paid as well as the love and vulnerability of all involved was incredibly present. I think the honesty and charm of the cast overrode some of the weaknesses in the writing.
