What I liked
We liked the creative use of space, and of lighting, to indicate scene and tone changes, as well as the creative use of minimal props. Micah Watterson was especially passionate in his delivery and was willing to take chances with the material.
What I didn't like
The pacing of delivery could be evened out, but the fast tempo might have been due to the constraints of the venue and the schedule. We were also a little concerned that Micah might hurt himself every time he threw himself onto the scenery.
My overall impression
This production was thoughtful, creative and had some good twists. The play was full of humor, especially for those familiar with Hamlet. Micah Watterson made excellent use of the sparse scenery, and the minimalistic lighting enhanced the dramatic action unfolding on stage. Really superb from both a dramatic and technical perspective. We really enjoyed this production.
