What I liked

I would like to say a few words about this fantastic show I saw last night that I couldn’t stop thinking about all night and today cause of how much it moved me… Infantryman In The Wardrobe… Written by Keith Galloway and Directed/Choreographed by Jo Galloway , Darren Portilla is Creative Director , a ShoWorks Entertainment production … I had it wrong thinking was just about WW1 , it starts there but also includes WW2 , Vietnam and more current conflicts like Irak, Afghanistan , tensions with North Korea, and the paranoia of a Nuclear War…Keith Galloway’s dialogue mostly is beautiful poetry yet sometimes informative .. it felt at times like a live documentary… it also dealt with relationships of husband and wife dealing with the separation war brought in… The husbands who never made it back home… There’s also some humor, dancing and singing ,obviously there were the horrors of war and grieving… All together very dense and diverse within an hour long… There was great footage on the background and also special sound effects that helped telling the story… Jo was born basically on stage so her knowledge as a performer and behind the scenes is what you can expect, very vast ! So she sang, danced ,acted plus she put the show together with Darren… The cast were fantastic !!! Bravo !!! and Congratulations for such high quality work !!!If you are in L.A. and want something different and entertaining you definitely should check this Play that’s running through the month of June on The Hollywood Fringe Festival at The Complex Theater,Hollywood … For tickets and info go to www.showorksentertainment.com ps. They also have another play at the festival called The Fabulous Fables of Aesop and starts tomorrow at 4pm at The Complex Theater !
