13th grade is a nostalgic new musical that isn’t afraid to go there- and by there, I mean deep into the hilarious underbelly of that first year of community college. Writers Pam Eberhardt and Dan Testa are BRILLIANT! With songs like, “Stop Dating Gay Guys If You Want To Find The One” to characters as legendary as Jem Bobby- Eberhardt and Testa have created a seamless story, packed with moments of pure comic gold- brought to you by an incredible ‘greek chorus/barbershop trio of women narrators that will have you bent over laughing line after line. Oh, and they also happen to be obsessed with ‘The Craft.’ Which is equally hilarious and relatable (I mean- wasn’t every girl? … Come on… well, I was...So...).
The ensemble is EXCELLENT! Each of t...

I had such a blast at this atomic blitz of 90s references and sexual innuendoes (and literal comedic penetration). A definite must-see at this year’s Fringe Fest....

This was an excellent ensemble piece with top-notch writing, directing and, of course, performance. These artists know how to put on a show! I was so impressed with the varied way the music was directed and arranged......some guitar accompaniment, some tracks, some a capella......and have never seen such hilarious use of a pitch pipe! Also, we got to really get who these characters were in a about an hour. Talk about efficiency in writing! And funny!! Whew! ...

I was afraid seeing this show on opening night might be a bad idea and I might be forced to give out fake compliments but I was pleasantly surprised...the show was awesome!! Despite a the music and sound tracks being a bit low, the cast overcame the obstacle and took the audience down a 90s memory lane. The songs were catchy, crude and memorable. There was even choreography on the small stage. How they pulled it off is mind blowing but they did! Lorne Michaels should hire these writers and cast to make SNL great again! Seriously , go see it. Laughs every minute! ...

Now That's What I Call a Musical Vol 1. Writers Pamela Eberhart and Dan Testa did not hold back on this totally nostalgic comedy of post-adolescent life in the 90s. Directed by Andy Kenareki, the rad ensemble of The 13th Grade was able to deliver a little bit of everything that we know and miss from the days at the dawn of the Y2K. With a musical book that plays like your favorite mixtape, showstoppers like the boy bandesque "You can suck me off" and the Jewel-like "Jem Bobby" pay homage to some far out Hot Topics of the nineties: Gay Sex, Bad Boys and HPV. What can I say, crafty comedy left me light as a feather and stiff as a board! Brava! ...

Absolutely loved this show!!! What a hilarious, entertaining time! I was mostly impressed by the music, especially when they brought out a guitar and did live songs with three part harmonies, so tight!!! I was a kid of the 90s so I appreciated all the references, and I thought all the actors did a phenomenal job at bringing the comedy. Loved this show times a million and could not recommend higher! ...
