What I liked

The writing on the play was wonderful. The lead actress who played the homeless woman brought depth and understanding to the work. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen her in anything before but I would love to see her in a meaty role on a TV series. Just really, really strong.

What I didn't like

The actress playing the social worker seemed like she was just walking through the part the day I saw the play. Perhaps it was just a bad day for her but the contrast between her and the other actress was so uneven that it kind of ruined the material. Unfortunately, because she needed to carry the end of the play, the end fell flat. The audience didn’t even realize it was over.

My overall impression

Totally worth seeing. Would have loved another 10 minutes or so of character development. Really feel like I didn’t know the social worker at all. Can’t tell if it’s the writing or the acting of that part that left me flat.
