The lead actress had a great voice and the costumes and staging were great.
What I didn't like
The humor was not my humor—I thought the story was very confusing at first, and then there’s a twist that comes out of nowhere without any build-up, unless I missed it because I was confused at first? haha Does that make sense?
I also felt it was unnecessary to have the balladeer at the beginning if he doesn’t come full circle and at least reappear at the end to reprise his guitar song or give a conclusion or something.
My overall impression
I didn’t get it, and it wasn’t my type of show, but most of the audience really seemed to resonate with it and engage with it, so if this show sounds like your kinda thing, you’d probably enjoy it.
