The music was great, and the program has a code for free download, so I know I’m gonna be rocking that for the next month on my daily commute. The show was obviously crafted by folks who love the genre as much as I do, so I loved all the subtle references to 80s slashers. My wife does not know horror movies, but she loved the performances, particularly the “Madonna”-esque slayer character and the roller derby queen. I hope this is developed into a longer musical, maybe even a film someday.
What I didn't like
I think this perfomance could be even more successful outside of the Fringe limitationss; IE: If they could have a “splash zone” of actual fake blood being thrown around, some set changes, etc. And as mentioned above, it could easily be longer.
My overall impression
I loved it! I will look for more work from this creative team, and I will continue to check out more Fringe shows based on this experience. Thanks!
