What I liked
The drummer was incredible and had a beautiful voice and energy. I would have been pleased with 40 mins of just that.
What I didn't like
Audience couldnt tell if there was expectation to react or not. Was it scripted? If so perhaps work on building audience connection first other wise the work seems self serving.
My overall impression
Seemed a bit formless. It felt as though it was all made up on the spot… which is fine if you have the skills necassary to do audience work and improv. I loved the concept and the music was beautiful… but it just felt too uncontrolled.
