What I liked

I love that the writer actually brought her vision to life. I like that she stuck to her guns and although some content could be deemed as controversial to some (not really, they were acting), I really enjoyed seeing this stageplay while also imagining how many re-writes and set up’s the writer (Nina Childs) must have had to endure beforehand, and then to finally get the actors. together to skillfully portray different roles as well as characters in every scene as well as wardrobe changes. The energy and the acting was absolutely amazing!! Oh… and I liked the tight fitting bodysuits… a lot! LOL!

What I didn't like

If anything could be improved in my opinion, was the storyline being somewhat hard to follow at times, only because the scenes were so different. The energy was extreme and very good but seemed to somewhat confuse the audience at times. There were also props that were being handed out, or offered, and it seemed the audience was somewhat confused, or hesitant, at whether to accept the treats, or at times to clap or not to clap.

My overall impression

I thought the show was a very creative mix of different personalities which portrayed realistic stories about what may happen in the day of a life of any American woman, at any given stage of life. It further seemed to have shed a comdic light on what it must feel like to experience everything that perhaps certain African American women may experience, (I don’t think white girls use hotcombs). From two young girls at a simple track meet, insurance hustle, getting hair done, going to jail, then, to actually going to hell. Very interesting characters and story.
