I'm surprised by how well the punk rock spin on the play worked. Given the short fringe time frame for the performance, the play was awesome. I would definitely love to see it again. ... full review

This fast-paced, compact version of Faustus adds a bit of a punk rock edge to the affair. This primarily affects attitude and interesting costume choices. It truly doesn’t affect the material heavily. Watching a preview, the cast's infectious energy pulled the audience in with a surprising amount of humor for such a dark tale. Faustus and Mephistopheles, (the demon he got as a servant in his deal with Satan) played by Brando Cutts and Emma Pauly, work extremely well together. If you like this mythology, give this a chance.... full review

I loved it and Brando Cutts is really flavorful as Doctor Faustus. The Marlowe/Shakespeare literature is hard to follow for some of us, but when speeches are enlivened with the kind of attitude, humor and moments of humanity such as those delivered by Pauly and Cutts, one has zero trouble deciphering what is going down. Thank you, be proud Ken Knight , want to see it again AT MIDNIGHT!... full review

The punky take on the play had me cackling in my seat throughout the night. Stellar acting, especially for Faustus, the girl who played Helen (what a star), and Mephistopheles. The cast's choices were strong, especially in the moments where they threw in their own modern one-liners. Good timing, great engagement with the audience at the right moments. Overall, a real joy to witness.... full review
