What I liked
Hits you right in the heart. Had some fun character based laughs before transitioning into truly dark. For being about gangsters this also a very relatable play. It effectively tackles some heady themes without being pretentious. Well acted, well directed.
What I didn't like
Made me cry a little. And dammit I worked hard on my makeup.
My overall impression
Great dramatic play that tackles big themes without being stuffy. Gangsters dealing with shifting roles, friendship, aging, and identity. Everyone has either dealt with the same issues directly or watched someone struggle with them. It’s fun to see 2 wise guys face it with lots of profanity. It builds to an emotional punch really well. The 2 actors connect very well and are very genuine.
