My overall impression

Meant to write a review a while back for this wonderful show! I didn’t know much about the show when I entered the theatre but was SO happy to have caught it. The play was incredibly well devised. The structure of the storytelling was unique and very effective. Funny meta nods to the audience, well thought out sound design and transitions helped move from moments of heartbreaking intimacy to off-the-wall circus court scenes. The whole cast (truly all of them) were top notch, generous, fully connected talents. They went balls to the wall and drove the story successfully from start to finish. I left the theatre feeling the joy of the production but also the ache that we, as a society, haven’t moved far enough away from the realities of Laura D Fair’s experience.
