What I liked

From the set design to the performances to the entire theatre-going experience, DYING CITY was phenomenal. The roles were challenging and both actors (Zoe & Jon) went above and beyond in accomplishing the challenges set forth. Set just after 9/11, the story rings true today and parallels the current political climate. The many reveals throughout the play kept me compelled, intrigued and invested.

What I didn't like

The one suggestion I would make is in regards to the theatre’s “opening announcement” setting up the play. Felt like the audience could do without that.

My overall impression

Overall, I commend the entire cast and crew on a job well done. A phenomenal production from start to finish. The venue was intimate and complemented the play quite well. The material itself is ambitious and they succeeded in what they set out to do. DYING CITY is a wonderfully poignant, relevant and powerful story that I would recommend anyone invested in our current political climate to go see. 10/10.
