What I liked
I loved Jennie’s characterizations — each was distinct, and had their own voice and point of view. Her masterful transitions among all of them was entertaining to watch. The through-line of the narrative really encapsulates the story in this loving tribute to her mother. The show uses a few still images up on a screen that really enhances the story and doesn’t distract from the storytelling.
What I didn't like
I was very entertained, so I don’t have anything negative about the show, only that it definitely left me wanting more!
My overall impression
I was thoroughly entertained and moved by Jennie’s sharing of her relationship with her mother. It was funny, touching, and made me think of my own relationships with my family. Tom Cavanaugh’s direction gave these stories a wonderful through-line that wraps everything up in a poignant ending that was amazing! No spoilers, you really have to see this show!
