What I liked
In addition to my overall impression, I’ll add that I liked the simplistic approach. For instance, having everyone wear a primary color t-shirt and matching converse sneaker, and then only adding a couple of costume pieces, such as a necklace or tie, they created an entirely new character. I won’t ruin the action sequence by describing it, but again, a simple idea that works beautifully. I also liked the comic panels they projected to set each scene. The newscaster through line was another great touch. A song about Chipotle? Need I go on?
What I didn't like
They only thing that could be improved was the sound (but this is a limitation of fringe). The actors were not wearing mics, and I was sitting right in front of where the band was located. I had a hard time hearing some of the lyrics.
My overall impression
The show was incredible!! It’s a MUST SEE! We all know the story, but the humor they added throughout was awe inspiring. I laughed from beginning to end. There was humor in the song titles, the song styles, the action sequences, the characters, the dialogue. They got it right!
